# License and use of the content

The code and the content of Voto de Verdade have different licenses.

## Site code

The code is open, under the MIT license: you can use, copy and adapt it, keeping the copyright notice. The license text is at https://votodeverdade.com.br/LICENSE.

## Site texts and AI-written summaries

They are under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, redistribute and adapt this content for any purpose, including in news articles and on other sites, as long as you credit Voto de Verdade, with the address votodeverdade.com.br, and say if you made changes. When reusing the summaries, say they were written by artificial intelligence and may contain errors. The official text of each bill is always on the Chamber's website.

## What is not covered

- Original data from the Chamber of Deputies (votes, bills, summaries, deputies' names): they come from the Chamber's Open Data portal and follow its rules. Cite the Chamber as the source.
- Photos of deputies: they are from the Chamber and follow its rules.
- Atkinson Hyperlegible Next font: OFL license, by its authors.
- Name and logo “Voto de Verdade”: not licensed. You may use the name to credit the source, but do not use the logo in a way that suggests your site is Voto de Verdade or is endorsed by it.

## Training artificial intelligence models

We ask that the content not be used to train artificial intelligence models. Consulting the site to answer people's questions, citing the source with a link, is welcome. This request is in the site's robots.txt (Content-Signal: ai-train=no). It is a statement of preference, which not every crawler respects, and not a legal restriction: the CC BY 4.0 license, by itself, does not forbid that use.
